Original Slogan:
In 1977, Nike released an ad using the slogan, "There Is No Finish Line." For about ten years this was the main slogan of Nike. This slogan was meant to motivate those who wore Nike products. It can be interpreted in many ways but its main meaning is about how life is a never ending marathon. You continue to strive for excellence and work hard to achieve your goals.
Today's Slogan:
In 1985 Nike released their second slogan, "Just Do It." That slogan is still used today in many of Nike's products. This slogan conveys a much more simple message. It literally tells the people to just go out and do it. Whatever it is you want to achieve, just do it.
