Waffle Trainer:
In 1974 Nike released their brand new Waffle Trainers. Shortly after release these shoes became the best-selling training shoe in the United States. The inspiration for the design of the Waffle Trainers came from a waffle iron. The waffle iron pattern can be seen on the bottom of the shoe which is made of rubber. The rubber spikes on the bottom of the shoe provide traction making Waffle Trainers the ideal training shoe.
